What Is SB 721?
SB 721 requires periodic inspection of load-bearing exterior elevated elements that are exposed to weather and supported in whole or part by wood. The goal is to catch dry rot, water intrusion, and structural deterioration before they become dangerous.
The law applies to buildings with three or more multi-family dwelling units, and inspections must be completed within state-mandated timelines. Hodges Construction helps property owners and HOAs meet these requirements with clear, practical guidance.
